Internet and World Wide Web

The internet can be described as a Network of all computers, phones, and other electronic devices. the internet allows for these devises to not just be connected, but also to give access to basically all information that is public. Also, it has the ability to keep people connected through these electronic devices. Bob Khan and Vint Cerf are the two men responsible for the software needed create the internet.

On January 1, 1983, the internet known to us was born, creating the network web that we know today. The original use of the internet was for government transferring of knowledge and information. The internet has gone from a form of government data transportation to the daily use of anything from questions like "what is network?' to cooking recipes.

The World Wide Web is known as every public page and website that people have access to via their computers or any other device connected to the internet. In 1993, Sir Tim Berners-Lee founded the World Wide Web. The original purpose for its creation was to help share information with scientist around the world. The World Wide Web has changed its use over the years from its original use of scientific information trading, to now being used as a way to access all websites.

The internet and the world wide web are two different entities that serve two different purposes. While the internet is a way to connect all devices, while the world wide web is the way we get all the questions and answers we need and want. They work together in unison, creating the most useful tool to people. Although they are two powerful things on their own, together they work best.

The first website was named info.cern.ch. It was created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. The website was published in 1993. The website is not the easiest to get too, but it seems to still be up and running.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and Lamarr

Hedy Lamarr was a Hollywood actress in the 1940's who was also known for holding the patent on "frequency hopping", which is the basis for the wireless connections we use today known as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Funny enough, Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck have a song dedicated to Hedy Lamarr. They made the song to show that she was not recognized for her intelligence, but only for her beauty.

Jaap Haartsen can be labeled as the man who set the foundation to create the wireless bluetooth technology. Jim Kardach the one responsible for the name bluetooth. Kardach worked for Intel and coined the name in a meeting. Comparing King Harold Bluetooth, who was known to unite Scandinavia. Comparing it to the technology connecting devices in short range for wireless linking. Bluetooth got its logo from combining Harold Bluetooth's Rune initials.

While many people contributed to the creation of Wi-Fi Vic Hayes is said to be the biggest contributor. Wi-Fi's original protacal was released in 1997, but was updated to be quicker and more smooth in 1999. In 1999 Wi-Fi was publicly released and named in 1999. Wi-Fi was named for its pleasing sound and its abbreviation for "Wireless Fidelity."
