Business Cards

Artist Statement:

For this assignment we had to make three business cards and we had to include three iterations of our logo. For the first design I wanted to keep it mellow and simple,  only giving a small pop of color with the beak of the pelican. I wanted to give a little simple design so I also included some little circles wrapping around each other, slowly enveloping the other.

The second design shared both warm a cool tones with the logo, so I wanted to match the design of the card to that. While I added bright blue for the background, I wanted to add another form of contrast by adding the triangles coming off the pages on the back of the card. While the card is simplistic, I still wanted to give it a fun twist.

With the last card I wanted to give it a sense of warmth, keeping the tons energetic, but still aesthetically pleasing. I gave the background a light peach color so none of the other parts would be diluted by a brighter background. I wanted the logo and the other pieces the ability to pop to invoke interest and to draw attention to everything else.
