I chose this photograph for this assignment because this was a day that was good for me and after taking this I had two job interviews. I did not get either job, but I kept telling myself that I could do better for myself. I was extremely confident this day and I wanted to keep that same motivation, so I often catch myself looking at this picture on days where I am out of it and feeling down on myself.
For my propaganda poster I chose the topic of clean food for people. A lot of my extended family owned farms in Dominican Republic and prided themselves on the quality of their food, as well as meeting some great people at my university who also lived on farms and would talk about the great quality of it as well. I wanted to capture a small essence of farm life to through this assignment giving it a fun but truthful reality of the food that we consume.
The process for this assignment was tedious and required a lot of meticulous work. There were a lot of pieces involved and shaping them correctly to give that farm feel. It took hours to get the features on my face and the farm to be as close to the real thing as possible. It was a lot of trial and error and stressful hours trying to get the best possible outcome. The part that was the most fun was definitely including the little icons to show some of the groups that we consume through farms.
